Private Individual Cremations

A private cremation ensures that your pet’s ashes can be returned to you in a vessel that you will be invited to select during your visit to Summerleaze. We have a wide range of tasteful and dignified urns and caskets to choose from. Some of these can be seen here. Certificates of cremation are also available for private cremations.

You may also care to scatter your pet's ashes in our garden of remembrance. This is only available when a private cremation has been performed.

The Garden of Remembrance at Summerleaze

Our beautifully maintained and ornate gardens are quiet, peaceful and secluded and open for you to visit – but only by appointment. Your pet's ashes can be interred or scattered in our gardens. With interned ashes, each plot in the garden has a unique place in our plotting grid so that your pet’s plot is completely identifiable. Each plot is available for purchase at a small fee for periods of 10 years.

Headstones, small potted shrubs and small ornaments can also be placed near your plot to commemorate your pet’s life and passing.

Testimonials

No words can describe how wonderful and valuable this place is. When we finally had to put our Labrador to sleep after a long illness we couldn’t bear to take him home. Summerleaze allowed us to come at very late notice straight from the vets for a personalised service.

When we lost our beautiful boy Bryn just a few weeks ago we decided to have him cremated and his ashes returned to us what a lovely peaceful place Summerleaze is and the staff are truly amazing thoughtful compassionate and caring thank you so much.

Lynne Barry

Summerleaze was used by our vet who told me they had excellent reputation. His lovely scattering tube was in a box decorated with little coloured corn sheaf. He will be going into a beautiful garden pot planted with a special rose. So pleased he was treated with care and dignity.
