Saying goodbye to your pet can be a difficult experience, and at PCS North East Pet Crematorium we want to make sure that we offer the support you and your family need at such a distressing time.
As part of our commitment to supporting our local customers, we are pleased to announce that we have introduced a Home Collection Service for bereaved owners – a service that helps owners whose beloved pet may have passed at home or feel that they cannot bring their pets to our crematorium themselves, or just prefer to deal with us directly.
Our highly-trained, empathetic collection staff will visit your home address and discuss the service options available to you. Once you have said your goodbyes, your pet will be carefully moved to our vehicle with the dignity and respect they deserve. Your pet’s ashes are usually ready within 3 days. Once your pet's ashes are ready for you to collect, you are welcome to collect them from our crematorium, or alternatively, we can return them to your home at an additional charge.
You can arrange for our Home Collection Service during standard working hours of 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. This can be arranged by giving us a call and we can find a mutually convenient time to collect your pet from either your home or your veterinary practice. The collection can be arranged in advance if you prefer, to prevent any further distress at this difficult time.
Collections are available within a 30-mile radius of our crematorium. The following map highlights the collection areas covered by this service.
Some useful information related to this service is listed below:
- We will contact you when your pet’s ashes are ready to be returned and this will be within 3 days.
- You are very welcome to attend our crematorium and farewell room.
- The collection fees are based on the distance we need to travel to your desired location - these will be confirmed with you before the collection is booked.
