Saying goodbye to your pet can be an extremely traumatic experience, and at PCS Essex Pet Crematorium we want to ensure that we offer you the support you and your family need at such a distressing time.
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting our clients, we are pleased to announce we are introducing a Home Collection Service for bereaved pet owners – a service which helps those owners whose beloved pet may have passed at home, may feel unable to bring their pets to one of our crematoria themselves, or simply prefer to deal with us directly.
Our Home Collection Service is available during normal business hours of 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, and can be arranged by simply calling our crematorium directly, where we can arrange a mutually convenient time to collect your pet from your home or veterinary practice. Appointments can be made in advance if desired, to prevent any further distress at such a difficult time.
Our highly-trained and empathetic staff will attend your home address and discuss the service options and the range of caskets, jewellery and memorials available to you. Once you have said your goodbye’s, your pet will then be carried to our vehicle with the care and dignity they deserve. Once your pets ashes are ready to collect (usually within 3 days), you are welcome to collect your pet's ashes from our crematorium, or alternatively, they can be returned home at an additional charge.
Collections are available within a 45-mile radius of the crematorium. The below map shows the collection areas covered by this service.
Below is some useful information related to this service:
- Your pet’s ashes will be ready to be returned within 3 days, but we always contact you when they are ready.
- You are welcome to attend our crematorium and farewell room should you wish.
- Collection fees are calculated based on the distance we need to travel to your location, and these will be confirmed with you before the collection is booked.
